Groundworker

We are currently seeking 2 Skilled Groundworkers for a civil engineering project in Stoke-on-Trent (ST1), with an immediate start available.

• 1 x Skilled Groundworker with CPCS/NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper Ticket
• 1 x Skilled Groundworker with Confined Space Certification

Please note, these are hands-on groundworker roles and operatives will not be working solely on plant. Candidates must be experienced in all aspects of civil groundwork.

• Drainage installation
• Excavation and trenching works
• Ducting, kerbing, and concreting
• Loading and unloading materials
• General groundworks and civil engineering tasks
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
• Working from RAMS and site permits
• Attending site briefings and toolbox talks
• Reporting hazards and near misses

• Valid CSCS Card
• Proven experience in civil engineering and groundworks
• For the Dumper role: Valid CPCS/NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper Ticket
• For the Confined Space role: Valid Confined Space Certification
• Confined Space operative must be experienced with pointing up shafts and using a trowel
• Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures

• SSSTS or SMSTS
• NRSWA
• Environmental Awareness Training

• Location: Stoke-on-Trent
• Start Date: 10th August 2026
• Duration: Until 4th September 2026
• Hours: 45 hours per week
• Rate: £200 per day
• Employment Type: Freelance / Agency
