Groundworker in Street, Somerset

Infocus Group are looking for a skilled and motivated Groundworker to join our team in Street, Somerset. This role will lead on to more work in the area with this client for right candidates.

You’ll be supporting the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other essential site works, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other site structures.
• Need more experience of laying drainage, pipe levels and lasers, headwalls to install, concrete formation at top of head walls, attenuation systems to go in.
• Operate hand tools and construction machinery safely and effectively.
• Keep the work area clean and organised, ensuring tools are stored properly.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver projects on time.
• Report equipment faults or site issues promptly to supervisors.

Requirements

• For clarification:-
• All workers must have Arc PPE – the client will provide the jackets but candidates must have Arc trousers
• S3 boots
• Safety critical medical required for all
• The only worker that needs the EUSR card 1 & 2 is the workers that are operating the CAT ( cable avoidance tool) & Genny ( signal generator). This is normally the ground worker/skilledoperative 
• Essential:
• Blue CSCS card
• Previous experience in groundworks or related construction work (preferred but training can be provided).
• Familiarity with basic construction machinery (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Proactive approach to health and safety.
