Groundworks Gangs

GROUNDWORKER GANGS REQUIRED – LONG-TERM PROJECT

Location: Suffolk
Duration: Immediate start through to end of February 2027
Pay: Weekly
Gangs Required: 2 x established Groundwork/Civils gangs (360 + 2 Groundworkers)

We are looking for 2 x experienced gangs of Groundworkers to join a major long-term project in Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for established gangs looking for consistent, long-term work rather than short-term contracts. The project is scheduled to run through to the end of February 2027, with the potential for further work for contractors who perform well.

Each gang must consist of:

• 1 x 360 Excavator Operator
• 2 x Groundworkers (1 of the Groundworkers must hold a Forward Tipping Dumper ticket)
• All plant operators MUST hold a valid Fitness to Work Certificate.

The successful gangs will be carrying out all aspects of general groundworks across a large-scale construction site.

We are specifically looking for experienced, well-established gangs who are used to working together and can demonstrate a strong track record on major sites.

This is not a short-term groundworks contract.

The current project is scheduled to run until February 2027, giving successful gangs the opportunity to secure many months of continuous work with a reputable contractor.

Contractors who perform well and prove themselves on the initial phase will have the opportunity to move onto the next phase of the project, potentially extending the work beyond the current programme. However, due to the sensitive nature of the site, contractors who are successful and subsequently selected to continue onto the next phase will be required to undertake either:

• Enhanced DBS clearance, or
• EL1-level security clearance, depending on the requirements of the next phase.

Applicants with serious convictions or significant issues on their criminal record should not apply, as these may prevent the required clearance from being obtained.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Existing, established gangs preferred
• All relevant plant and trade tickets must be held and in date
• 360 Excavator Operator
• Forward Tipping Dumper ticket within each gang
• Valid Fitness to Work Certificate for plant operators
• Proven groundworks experience
• Reliable and professional approach
• Ability to work as part of an established gang
• Good site experience and strong references
