🚧 GROUNDWORKS SUPERVISOR – AWE ALDERMASTON

📍 Location: AWE Aldermaston
💷 Rate: £28–£30 per hour
⏰ 10 paid hours per day, Monday–Friday
📅 Duration: 12 months+
💰 Saturday overtime available at premium rates

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join a long-term infrastructure project at AWE Aldermaston.

The role will involve supervising a groundworks gang, with the main works consisting of approximately 800mm deep service trenches, multi-utility cable and duct installation, backfilling and reinstatement.

This is a great opportunity to work with a Tier 1 contractor on a high-value, long-term project within a secure and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a groundworks gang and ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
• Excavate trenches to approximately 800mm deep, maintaining accurate line and level
• Install and bed multi-utility cables, ducts and associated infrastructure
• Work in accordance with RAMS and permit-to-dig procedures
• Liaise with Site Managers, Banksmen and cable installation teams
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance
• Follow all AWE security, safety and site requirements

Essential Requirements:

• SSSTS
• CSCS
• Previous experience as a Groundworks Supervisor / Working Supervisor
• Experience with 800mm+ deep trenching and cable laying
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to pass AWE security vetting (BPSS minimum)
• Previous experience on secure, MOD, AWE or other regulated sites is highly advantageous
• SMSTS would be advantageous for potential progression
