Group Bid Manager at Mecsia
Hybrid, with occasional days in central London | Full-time | Salary starting from £60k + 20% Bonus and Benefits
Are you a Bid Manager who's also a really good Bid Writer? Mecsia is looking for someone who can run complex bids from start to finish and write the kind of content that wins them.
About Mecsia
Mecsia is one of the UK's leading providers of technical inspection, maintenance and engineering services. Its model is "Local Service, National Reach". It now has around 1,900 people across seven business units, and its clients include commercial offices, healthcare sites and schools. In 2024 it was acquired by Synova, named PE House of the Year four times in the last seven years, which is backing further growth both organically and through acquisitions.
Group Bid Manager Role Responsibilities
You'll report to the Group Head of Bids and lead high-value bids across the Group. You'll own each bid from qualification to handover. That means planning the response, shaping the win themes, getting what you need from subject matter experts and making sure every submission is compliant, commercially sound and well written.
You'll also write beyond bids. You'll produce content for the website, social media and thought leadership, and you'll build and look after a bid library the whole Group can use.
What You Will Bring as Group Bid Manager
- At least three years managing end-to-end bids, including complex opportunities with several workstreams
- A track record of winning submissions through commercial and public sector procurement
- Experience shaping qualification decisions, win strategy and solution development
- Excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to make technical detail clear and persuasive
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for design
- Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
- A good understanding of website, press and social media content
Experience in hard FM, technical services or building services would be a real plus, as would APMP Foundation or equivalent.
Who you are
You're organised, resilient and comfortable juggling deadlines. You work well on your own, you hold yourself accountable, and you build good relationships with people at every level. You'll want to make a difference from day one.
There's some UK travel for Group events, workshops and onboarding.
