Our client, a leading automotive employer based in Coventry, West Midlands, is seeking a dedicated Group HR Advisor to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to contribute to a high-performance motor trade environment.

Duties of the Group HR Advisor:
  • Provide generalist HR support across the dealer network, including advice on employee relations, performance management, conduct, and absence issues
  • Support line managers with disciplinary, grievance, and performance procedures, ensuring compliance with legal standards
  • Manage probation periods, contract extensions, and appointments
  • Oversee sickness absence management and implement return-to-work procedures
  • Assist in delivering performance management tools such as appraisals, succession planning, and career development initiatives
  • Collaborate with Recruitment to facilitate timely hiring processes
  • Promote best HR practices aligned with employment legislation and company policies
  • Support organisational development and employee engagement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure statutory compliance
Requirements of the Group HR Advisor:
  • CIPD qualification or actively working towards it
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR advisory role
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the Group HR Advisor
  • Proven ability to manage employee relations and complex HR issues
  • Professional, supportive approach with a focus on developing teams and supporting managers
  • Automotive industry experience is desirable but not essential
