This is a high-impact role for an SEO professional who can combine strategic thinking with strong technical expertise to drive organic growth, improve search visibility and deliver measurable commercial results.

Based in London with hybrid working, you’ll work closely with Ecommerce, Digital Trading, Marketing, Content, Product and Development teams, as well as external agency partners.

About the Role

As Group SEO Manager, you’ll take ownership of the overall SEO strategy and roadmap, ensuring SEO is embedded across ecommerce, content, digital marketing and technology.

You’ll lead SEO activity across multiple websites and brands, identify opportunities for organic growth and play a key role in major website migrations and replatforming projects.

The role will also involve developing the business’s approach to emerging search technologies, including Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), helping ensure the brands remain visible as search behaviour continues to evolve.

  • Lead and develop the internal SEO team, including Technical SEO Specialists and SEO Content Executives. Manage relationships with SEO agency partners and ensure internal and external resources are used effectively.
  • Drive improvements in organic traffic, rankings, revenue, customer acquisition and overall search visibility.
  • Work closely with Ecommerce, Digital Trading, Marketing, Content, Product and Development teams. Identify technical, content and authority-building opportunities across multiple websites.
  • Ensure SEO best practices are incorporated into website developments, redesigns, migrations and wider digital projects.
  • Develop keyword, category and content strategies based on customer demand and business objectives.
  • Provide clear reporting and insights on SEO performance, risks and opportunities. Lead SEO activity throughout website migrations and replatforming projects, including planning, implementation, testing and post-launch monitoring.
  • Develop and implement GEO and AEO strategies to improve visibility within AI-driven search experiences. Promote SEO best practices and develop SEO knowledge across the wider business.
  • Stay ahead of changes in search behaviour, algorithms, technology and industry trends.
