Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established engineering and industrial manufacturing business in their search for a Group SHEQ Lead. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive SHEQ professional to join a growing organisation and play a key role in driving safety, health, environmental and quality standards across multiple UK sites.

Reporting into the Group Operations function, the successful candidate will help shape and improve SHEQ performance, support compliance activities, and promote a positive culture of continuous improvement throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems

  • Assist with the development and review of SHEQ policies, procedures and safe systems of work

  • Conduct internal audits, site inspections and compliance reviews across multiple locations

  • Support external audits and certification activities

  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions

  • Assist operational teams with risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)

  • Deliver SHEQ inductions, toolbox talks and awareness training

  • Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability initiatives

  • Support quality investigations, non-conformances and continuous improvement projects

  • Prepare SHEQ reports, KPIs and performance metrics for management review

  What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience in a SHEQ or HSE role within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments

  • Strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation

  • Experience supporting ISO management systems

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between UK sites

Desirable:

  • Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001)

  • Experience working in a multi-site or group-level role

  • Knowledge of AS9100 accreditation

  • Experience within blasting, coatings or industrial surface preparation environments
