About the Opportunity

Astro Education are looking for a Hair & Beauty Lecturer to join a specialist educational setting based in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, working 2 days per week.

The successful candidate will support and teach students studying Hair & Beauty, helping them develop their practical skills, knowledge and confidence. The role will also involve supporting students with a variety of SEN requirements, so patience, adaptability and a supportive approach are essential.

The Role

• Deliver engaging Hair & Beauty lessons to students.
• Support students with a range of SEN requirements and learning needs.
• Help students develop their practical and theoretical knowledge.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs.
• Work closely with school staff and other professionals to support student progress.
• Take responsibility for planning and delivering lessons across your allocated days.

Required Experience

• Experience teaching or delivering Hair & Beauty-related subjects.
• Relevant teaching, training or industry qualifications/experience.
• Experience working with students with SEN is desirable.
• Patient, flexible and adaptable approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to supporting students to reach their full potential.
• Ability to work 2 days per week.
