Job Title: Hands-on Electronic Manager - Automotive
Location: Harlow, Essex
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 basic + bonus + benefits
Employment Type: Permanent

You must have a background in the Automotive sector with experience of CAN bus.
  
This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative engineering business where you'll spend around 70% of your time designing electronics, whilst providing technical leadership/Management and project oversight for a team of four experienced Electronics Engineers.
Rather than micromanaging the team, you'll be responsible for driving projects forward, ensuring delivery against key milestones, supporting technical decision-making and helping shape the future direction of the electronics function.
  
The Role - Hands-on Electronic Manager - Automotive
You'll lead the electronics engineering team whilst remaining heavily involved in the design and development of new products.
  
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and mentoring a team of four experienced Electronics Engineers.
  • Remaining hands-on with the design and development of electronic hardware.
  • Managing multiple development projects, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are achieved.
  • Designing a broad range of electronic circuits, with a strong emphasis on power electronics.
  • Working across analogue and digital electronic design.
  • Providing technical leadership throughout the full product development lifecycle
  • processes and design methodologies.
The Role - Hands-on Electronic Manager - Automotive

We're looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer with both strong technical capability and proven leadership experience.
  
You'll have:
  • Proven experience leading or managing an electronics engineering team
  • A broad background in electronic hardware design
  • Strong experience in power electronics (DC-DC converters, power supplies, LED drivers or similar)
  • Experience across analogue and digital circuit design
  • Experience managing engineering projects and coordinating multiple workstreams
  • Automotive electronics experience
  • CAN Bus knowledge
