URGENT REQUIREMENT
Handyman – Parliamentary Refurbishment – London
We are currently supporting a leading UK construction and engineering services provider on the appointment of a Handyman to join their team delivering high-profile refurbishment works across parliamentary and heritage estates.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a highly regulated, security-sensitive environment on technically complex projects, providing excellent exposure to live refurbishment works, stakeholder management, and structured career development.
Responsibilities
- Refurbishment Works
Carry out a range of hands-on refurbishment works across the project, including carpentry, plastering, decorating, basic plumbing and general finishing works as required. - First & Second Fix Support
Assist skilled trades with first and second fix activities, including fitting, making good, minor alterations and installation works to support the wider refurbishment programme. - Making Good & Finishing
Complete high-quality making-good, patching, filling, caulking and finishing works following installations and alterations, ensuring areas are left to a clean and professional standard. - Heritage & Sensitive Areas
Undertake refurbishment works carefully within a historic parliamentary environment, taking particular care around existing fabric, finishes and heritage features to minimise disruption or damage. - Snagging & Defect Resolution
Work through snagging lists and rectify defects across completed areas, ensuring refurbishment works meet the required quality standards and are ready for inspection and handover.
Requirements
Must be based within a commutable distance of Westminster
Must have 4+ years’ experience in a similar role on refurbishment projects
Must have UK Passport or RTW in the UK
Benefits
£200-£220 a day – Long term Contract
