Handyman - Student Accommodation

£13.00 - £14.00 per hour

Temporary Position

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Handyman to support the maintenance team within a busy student accommodation site in Manchester.

Working 24 hours per week, you will assist with general repairs, maintenance tasks and the upkeep of communal areas to ensure residents have a positive living experience.

• Carrying out general maintenance and repair work across the accommodation site
• Basic plumbing, painting, decorating and carpentry tasks
• Replacing fixtures, fittings and light bulbs as required
• Conducting routine safety and maintenance checks
• Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Ensuring communal areas remain safe, tidy and well maintained
• Supporting the wider facilities team with planned and reactive maintenance

• Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance operative or facilities role
• Good all-round DIY and maintenance skills
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting and repairs
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
• A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
