Job Overview

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the London Borough of Harrow, supporting adults and children with physical disabilities and learning disabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to play a key role in promoting independence and improving quality of life for service users through specialist assessment, care planning, adaptations, equipment provision, and moving and handling solutions.



Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the allocated Occupational Therapist for adults and children with physical disabilities and learning disabilities.
  • Provide preventative and early intervention support to promote independence and reduce reliance on long-term services.
  • Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to identify individual needs and outcomes.
  • Assess, recommend, and review specialist equipment, adaptations, and moving and handling solutions.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and review individual care plans to support independent living.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ensure assessments and interventions are person-centred and promote choice, control, and independence.
  • Maintain accurate case records and reports in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Contribute to safeguarding processes and multidisciplinary working where required.
  • Ensure all practice is compliant with relevant legislation, policies, and professional standards.


Essential Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current HCPC Registration.
  • Experience working with adults and/or children with physical disabilities and learning disabilities.
  • Knowledge of equipment provision, adaptations, and moving and handling assessments.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
