Head Chef – Hotel, Hertford | Up to £45k + bonus | Live-in available

An established 35-bedroom hotel in the heart of Hertford is looking for a passionate Head Chef to lead its busy kitchen team of 15.

The kitchen delivers breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, functions and events, with a strong focus on freshly prepared, seasonal food.

 

The Role:

  • Lead and develop a team of 15
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety
  • Work closely with the Head of Food on seasonal menus
  • Manage GP, budgets, HACCP, H&S and allergens

 

Hours: 5/7 including weekends, 45 hours per week.

We're looking for an experienced Head Chef from a busy hotel, restaurant or gastro pub environment, with a passion for fresh food, strong leadership skills and good commercial awareness.
