Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am–3:30pm
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a passionate and organised Head Chef to join a children's nursery in Norwich city centre, catering for children from birth to five years old.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef seeking a rewarding role with excellent work-life balance, offering sociable daytime hours and no evening or weekend work.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare fresh, nutritious and age-appropriate meals for babies, toddlers and preschool children.
- Plan menus that promote healthy eating and accommodate allergies and dietary requirements.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
- Manage food ordering, stock control and kitchen budgets.
- Work closely with nursery staff to support children's nutritional needs.
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Chef Manager or experienced chef.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management and safe food preparation.
- Passionate about nutrition and providing quality meals for young children.
- Organised, reliable and confident managing a kitchen independently.
- Enhanced DBS
Experience in a nursery, school or childcare setting would be advantageous.
