Head Housekeeper – Oakham Grange
Salary: £16.00 per hour 40 hours per week
Are you an experienced Housekeeper looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference?
We are looking for a Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and ensure our care home is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene.
As Head Housekeeper, you will take pride in creating a clean, welcoming and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors and colleagues. You will lead by example, supporting and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver consistently high standards throughout the home.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading, supporting and supervising the housekeeping team.
- Organising daily housekeeping duties and rotas to ensure the home is fully covered.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
- Monitoring cleaning standards and carrying out regular checks.
- Managing housekeeping supplies and stock levels.
- Supporting the induction and training of new team members.
- Ensuring cleaning procedures and infection control standards are followed.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure the home runs smoothly.
- Building positive relationships with residents and ensuring their individual needs and preferences are respected.
About you
You will be organised, reliable and take pride in your work. Previous housekeeping or supervisory experience would be an advantage, ideally within a care home, hotel or similar environment.
You will have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team. Most importantly, you will have a caring and respectful approach and understand the importance of providing a comfortable home for our residents.
