Lead Global Financial Reporting Excellence

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Account-to-Report & Consolidation to lead our financial reporting function and co-lead global consolidation activities across an international portfolio of entities. This is a highly visible leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape financial governance, lead transformation initiatives, and partner with senior stakeholders across a global business.

The Role

As Head of Account-to-Report & Consolidation, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of financial reporting and consolidation activities. You will lead a team of accounting professionals while driving continuous improvement, strengthening financial controls, and supporting major finance transformation programmes.



Key Responsibilities



Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, half-year, and year-end financial close activities.
  • Co-lead global group consolidation processes across multiple legal entities.
  • Ensure accurate reporting under IFRS and Group reporting requirements.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet and cash flow consolidation results across reporting systems.
  • Partner with Financial Planning & Analytics teams to review and analyse financial performance.
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data submitted to Group Reporting.
  • Support major finance transformation projects, including ERP migrations and reporting system enhancements.


Statutory Reporting & External Audit

  • Lead the preparation, review, and filing of statutory financial statements.
  • Manage external audit relationships and coordinate audit activities across entities.
  • Provide expertise on technical accounting matters, including impairment reviews, provisions, and complex accounting treatments.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and evolving accounting standards.


Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage performance reviews, development plans, and succession planning.
  • Drive capability building in automation, digital finance, and emerging technologies.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet key reporting and project deadlines.


Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Tax, Treasury, Financial Planning, Shared Services, and Senior Leadership teams.
  • Provide clear guidance and insight on consolidation, accounting, and reporting matters.
  • Build strong relationships with auditors, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support informed business decision-making through accurate financial information and analysis.


Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Maintain a strong internal control framework across reporting and consolidation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, company accounting policies, and control standards.
  • Identify and mitigate financial reporting risks while driving process improvements.
  • Support remediation and enhancement of financial controls where required.


About You



Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Significant experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, consolidation, and audit.
  • Proven experience leading finance teams in a complex, multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial control frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.


Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with SAP, HFM/Hyperion, Finance Core, or similar consolidation platforms.
  • Background in shared services, global finance operations, or multinational corporate environments.
  • Experience leading finance transformation, process improvement, and system implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of automation and digital finance tools.
