Head of Accounts Payable in Tottenham Court Road, Greater London

GALENT are recruiting for a Head of Accounts Payable with a major international media organisation in Central London. This is a permanent appointment with a clearly defined two-stage remit: lead and develop the AP operation during the first six months, then progress into a broader P2P Lead position across Northern Europe, contributing to global process change.

The opportunity

The initial focus is on earning the confidence of a long-established team, supporting junior colleagues and ensuring effective, controlled high-volume AP operations. You will then take on a wider end-to-end P2P remit, working across multiple countries, influencing stakeholders and supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation and continuous improvement.

What you will bring

• Proven AP leadership and a track record of coaching and developing teams.

• A diplomatic, collaborative style: confident managing experienced colleagues without micromanagement.

• Strong understanding of multi-entity AP controls, payment governance and international processes.

• Ambition and capability to grow into regional P2P process ownership and transformation.

• ERP experience; SAP S/4HANA or ECC exposure is advantageous, not essential.

Working arrangements and progression

Based in Central London, with three days a week in the office and occasional late working. European travel will be required as the remit develops, potentially Monday–Thursday in Germany approximately monthly, with additional visits to markets such as Poland and the Netherlands. The exact frequency will be confirmed. The appointment is intended to progress from Head of AP into P2P Lead after approximately six months, subject to the agreed transition plan.
