Location: Hybrid – Farnborough with 1 day per week in the office
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 depending on experience
Bonus: Discretionary, based on personal and company performance
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Corporate Solutions to lead and develop a team of consultants, manage key corporate client relationships and drive new business growth.
As the market-facing leader of the Corporate Solutions function, you will take ownership of the corporate advice proposition and be responsible for its continued growth, commercial performance and delivery of excellent client outcomes.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual with a strong background in corporate financial planning, wealth management or employee benefits, who combines commercial acumen with strong technical, regulatory and people leadership skills.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to shape the strategic direction of the corporate proposition, identify opportunities for growth, strengthen the firm's market presence and ensure the proposition remains competitive and aligned with evolving client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop the Corporate Solutions function, with responsibility for commercial performance, profitability and overall channel results.
Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, improve profitability and maximise opportunities within the corporate market.
Manage and strengthen relationships with existing corporate clients, while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
Take ownership of the corporate advice proposition, continually reviewing and enhancing it to ensure it remains competitive, relevant and aligned to client and market needs.
Lead, coach and develop consultants and advisers, creating a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
Provide effective supervision, coaching and development in line with the firm's Training & Competence framework.
Ensure advice and client communications meet required suitability, quality and regulatory standards.
Maintain strong oversight of risk management, compliance and governance, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to minimise regulatory and conduct risk.
Ensure all relevant training, CPD and competency requirements are completed and appropriately recorded.
Monitor team and individual performance through agreed KPIs, targets and management information.
Set clear objectives for direct reports, conduct regular performance reviews and actively manage performance where required.
Produce accurate and timely management information and contribute to regular reporting on channel performance and financial contribution.
Work collaboratively with other departments and senior stakeholders to ensure a consistent and effective client proposition across the business.
Maintain a strong understanding of the corporate financial planning, wealth management and employee benefits markets, including emerging trends, opportunities and competitive pressures.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across processes, systems, controls and service standards.
Promote a strong culture of client focus, quality, professionalism and continuous improvement.
Ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality work and exceptional client outcomes within agreed timescales.
About You
We are looking for a commercially driven and experienced leader who can combine business development, client relationship management, technical expertise and people leadership.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience leading and growing a corporate financial planning, wealth management or employee benefits business or function.
A strong track record of achieving revenue targets and delivering profitable commercial growth.
Experience developing and enhancing financial advice or employee benefits propositions.
Excellent business development and relationship management skills, with a proven ability to win, retain and grow corporate client relationships.
Strong leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing advisers or consultants.
Experience creating and maintaining a high-performance culture within a regulated financial services environment.
Strong knowledge of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, conduct risk and risk management.
Excellent understanding of client outcomes, suitability and governance requirements.
Strong strategic thinking and commercial judgement.
The ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
A genuine commitment to delivering excellent client outcomes and maintaining high standards of compliance and governance.
Competence using Microsoft Office and a range of internal and external financial services systems.
What’s on Offer
Salary of £75,000 – £85,000, depending on experience.
