This is an exciting opportunity for a Drama specialist who wants to do more than simply teach lessons. The school are looking for someone who can inspire students, lead the subject with energy and creativity, and help Drama continue to thrive across the school.

As Head of Drama, you will:

• Lead and develop the Drama curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Inspire students to develop their confidence, creativity and performance skills

• Deliver engaging, imaginative and challenging Drama lessons

• Support and develop other members of the department

• Help shape the future direction and vision of Drama within the school

• Encourage students to participate in performances, productions and wider creative opportunities

• Contribute to the wider life of the school through your passion for the performing arts

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• QTS and a relevant Drama/Performing Arts qualification

• Strong experience teaching Drama within a secondary setting

• The ability to inspire and engage students of different abilities

• A genuine passion for Drama and the performing arts

• The confidence and enthusiasm to lead a subject area

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A creative, positive and collaborative approach

Experienced Heads of Department are welcome, but so are ambitious Drama teachers who feel ready to take the next step.
