Head of Finance

Fareham, Hampshire up to £70k

A leading specialist manufacturer is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to oversee and develop its finance function within a growing, design‑led production environment.

This hands‑on, commercially focused role will suit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience in a SME with excellent financial leadership skills, and the ability to drive performance, improve controls, and support strategic decision‑making.

• Lead and manage all financial operations, reporting and controls, work as a trusted business partner across the business

• Produce monthly/annual management accounts, forecasts and cashflow reporting

• Provide financial insight to senior leadership to support growth and profitability

• Oversee payroll, VAT returns, statutory accounts and audit processes

• Manage AP/AR functions and maintain robust internal controls
  
  
  

• Fully qualified accountant with proven experience at Manager / Controller level

• Strong background in financial management ideally within manufacturing / production or design-led SMEs

• Skilled in forecasting, modelling, KPI reporting and cashflow management

• Advanced Excel and ideally Sage experience

• Confident communicator with strong leadership capability
