Role Overview
EMBS Engineering have partnered with a UK Decommissioning business and is subsequently sourcing a Head of Growth to lead the management, growth and strategic development of key existing and new accounts. This is a senior, client-facing role, responsible for building trusted relationships with key clients, partners and Government bodies, and for shaping and delivering a long-term strategic growth plan.
The successful incumbent will combine strong technical credibility in the decommissioning market with commercial acumen, working closely with technical, financial and bid teams to secure new business and strengthen the organisation's position as a trusted partner across the nuclear lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a five-year strategic growth plan for the Decommissioning sector.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, partners and Government bodies across the Decommissioning estate.
- Identify and lead opportunities from initial engagement through to tender submission.
- Work alongside technical, commercial and financial teams to shape winning bid strategies.
- Develop and maintain a sales forecast pipeline, supporting sector budget planning.
- Champion the development of new accounts and long-term partnerships.
- Work with technical teams to identify practical solutions to client challenges.
- Monitor market developments and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the organisation's capabilities to inform strategy.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a business development or growth role within the UK nuclear decommissioning sector, or a closely related market.
- Strong technical understanding of the decommissioning market and its long-term, complex project lifecycle.
- At least 5 years' experience delivering business growth in a similar senior role.
- Degree in Business, Nuclear or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
- Experience delivering tenders within an EPC and/or consultancy environment.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality tenders, presentations and business cases.
- Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into commercially viable solutions.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between UK offices and client sites, with occasional overseas travel.
- Eligibility to achieve UK Security Clearance (SC).
