Are you an experienced Head of Highways Transport and Parking looking for your next challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking an experienced Head of Service with Highways, Transport and Parking experience. This role is on a contract basis, initially for 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·To develop and oversee the implementation of the strategies and service delivery for highways, transport and parking.
·Managing the highways and public transport contracts, traffic management, street works and permitting, transport policy, road safety, parking and a significant programme of capital works.
·Lead the transition and then effective delivery of a fully joined up approach to highways, transport and parking to deliver high quality, resident-focused and efficient services to meet the objectives
·Deputise for the Assistant Director on matters relating to highways, transport and parking as required.

What is required?
 
·As the successful candidate, you will have senior management experience within a local authority, particularly at Head of Service level
 
·You will have great stakeholder management skills.
