Head of HR

The Liberty Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with an established organisation in the search for an experienced Head of HR to join their Senior Leadership Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished HR leader to shape and deliver the organisation's people strategy, leading both the strategic and operational HR function. You'll work closely with senior leaders, providing expert advice across all aspects of people management while leading a dedicated HR team.

Based in Reading, this is a permanent, full-time position offering up to £60,000 alongside an impressive range of benefits.

What you'll do as Head of HR:

• Develop and deliver the organisation's People Strategy, ensuring it aligns with strategic objectives.
• Provide strategic HR guidance to the Senior Leadership Team and key stakeholders.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations and retention.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and recruitment practices remain compliant with employment legislation and safeguarding requirements where applicable.
• Lead on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, restructures and conflict resolution.
• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Lead, develop and mentor the HR team, ensuring an exceptional HR service.
• Manage the HR budget and utilise HR data and technology to improve reporting and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant senior HR leadership experience.
• Experience advising senior leaders on complex employee relations matters.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Outstanding communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative leadership style with high levels of integrity and professionalism.
• Experience within education or another regulated environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
