Maternity Cover – 10 months | Potential opportunity to become permanent

Cambridgeshire | 5 days on-site | Ad hoc flexibility where required

My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Head of HR Operations to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation based in Cambridgeshire.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of a key operational function, lead a team and play an important role in shaping and improving HR processes across a growing organisation.


The Role


Reporting directly to the HR Director, you will lead a team of three, including two junior HR Administrators who will require supervision, coaching and development.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Leading and developing the HR Operations function.
  • Overseeing Learning & Development activity.
  • Supporting the HR Business Partner and HR Director.
  • Working closely with Payroll and wider HR teams.
  • Managing HR processes, policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the review and rewriting of HR policies and processes.
  • Using HR systems, data and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency.
  • Providing guidance and support to schools and stakeholders.
  • Managing and negotiating with trade unions – essential.
  • Coaching and developing junior HR team members.
  • Driving continuous improvement across the HR function.
