The Role:

This job is based out of our Bedford HQ – MK41 0LF. Reporting to the Operations Director and working with senior management, the Head of HR will lead a multi-disciplinary HR function in a busy and fast paced environment. The role is hands-on with working with the day-to-day business needs whilst contributing to long-term strategic plans.

Role Overview:

  • Provide comprehensive advice and support on employee relations, absence and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and Company policies & procedures
  • Explore and develop relevant Company policies & procedures
  • Oversee recruitment including the full employee lifecycle
  • Responsible for supporting a HR team of 7 operating throughout the UK, managing the day to day of a busy HR department
  • Liaise with senior management and owners on company strategic plans to support workforce planning
  • Drive HR processes and systems including training and people management
  • Contribute to and/or lead HR projects

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a HR Management role with a good understanding of employee relations and performance management
  • CIPD Level 7
  • Understanding of employment law
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Strong computer literacy skills and HR database knowledge
