Leading a tight-knit, hands-on team of 5 IT Technicians to support company operations, systems, and hardware infrastructure. This individual acts as both a tactical manager and a strategic planner, bridging the gap between high-level business goals and daily technical helpdesk performance.

The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership capabilities alongside deep technical expertise to mentor junior staff while overseeing network architecture, security policies, and technology procurement.

Job Summary

• Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
• Direct Reports: 5 × IT Technicians

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Mentor, schedule, and lead a direct team of 5 IT Technicians, ensuring clear workflows and escalating technical issues appropriately.
• Helpdesk Management: Oversee the ticketing system, track team performance metrics (SLA response times), and ensure continuous end-user support.
• Infrastructure & Maintenance: Maintain networks, servers, cloud applications, and hardware deployments to achieve optimal uptime and system reliability.
• Cybersecurity & Backup: Formulate, implement, and audit data protection compliance, network security barriers, and business disaster recovery protocols.
• Vendor & Budget Control: Act as the primary contact for third-party service providers, manage hardware lifecycle procurement, and control the IT departmental budget.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years managing small technical teams or acting as a Helpdesk Lead.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, cloud solutions (AWS/Azure), MDM deployment tools, and network routing.
• Certifications: CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal management abilities, and clear technical communication for non-technical stakeholders.
