Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Mathematics Department.
• Lead curriculum development across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• Monitor and raise standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
• Support, develop, and manage departmental staff through coaching and professional development.
• Use assessment data effectively to improve outcomes for all learners.
• Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and academic excellence.
• Contribute to the wider leadership and development of the school.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Proven success as a classroom practitioner with a strong track record of improving student outcomes.
• Experience of curriculum leadership or middle leadership within a secondary school setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
