Head of MIS - Data Funding & Compliance

I am recruiting for a Head of MIS - Data Funding & Compliance for a college based in London. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of learner data across FE, Adult Skills, Apprenticeships and HE, while providing strategic advice on funding, ILR and data governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the College’s MIS and data services, including Student Records, ILR and data quality.

• Ensure accurate and timely ILR returns and compliance with DfE/ESFA funding rules.

• Oversee GLA, Council, Adult Skills Fund, Apprenticeship and OfS data and funding requirements.

• Lead data quality, validation, audit readiness and compliance activity.

• Provide expert advice on funding rules, eligibility and funding optimisation.

• Support curriculum planning, performance management and strategic decision-making through high-quality data.

• Lead, manage and develop the MIS team.

About You

You will have significant experience in a senior MIS/data role within Further Education, with strong knowledge of ILR, ESFA/DfE funding rules, data quality and audit requirements.

Experience of GLA/Surrey Council funding, Adult Skills, Apprenticeships and/or HE data would be advantageous. You will have excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement.
