Head of Operations in Hillingdon, Greater London

We are delighted to be supporting one of our clients based near Ruislip in their search for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Operations. You will lead operational excellence whilst being responsible for driving performance, developing robust processes and embedding a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and innovation. 

The successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with a genuine interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies. You will be responsible for challenging established ways of working, identifying opportunities for transformation and delivering measurable improvements across efficiency, productivity and business performance. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business growth and organisational objectives. 

• Lead process improvement, automation and AI initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity and decision-making. 

• Establish robust processes, controls, governance frameworks and performance measures across the business. 

• Lead, develop and coach managers and teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. 

• Oversee day-to-day operations, resources, budgets, compliance and operational risk while driving sustainable business improvements. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

• Proven experience in a senior operational leadership position, such as Head of Operations or a similar role. 

• A strong track record of delivering operational transformation, process improvement and organisational change. 

• Experience implementing AI, automation and technology-led improvements within a business environment. 

• Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen, with the ability to translate business objectives into measurable operational outcomes. 

• Degree-level qualification in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Technology or a related discipline. An MBA or postgraduate qualification would be advantageous. 

This role would suit an innovative and commercially focused operational leader who enjoys challenging traditional approaches and using technology to improve business performance. You will have the credibility to influence senior stakeholders, the leadership skills to develop high-performing teams and the discipline to turn strategic objectives into measurable results.
