An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of People to shape and lead the people agenda during the next stage of the organisation's journey.
This is a broad and influential role, offering the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to build an engaging culture, strengthen leadership capability and evolve the HR function into a true strategic business partner.
The Opportunity Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll lead a small HR team while partnering with senior leaders across the organisation. You'll balance strategic people initiatives with operational excellence, ensuring the organisation continues to attract, develop and retain talented people while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
This is the ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys operating strategically but is equally happy rolling up their sleeves in a smaller organisation where every contribution makes a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to shape and deliver the people strategy.
- Lead organisational development initiatives, including culture, leadership development and employee engagement.
- Design and implement learning and development programmes and career pathways.
- Support organisational change and transformation, ensuring people are engaged throughout.
- Coach and develop managers, building confidence and capability across the organisation.
- Lead and develop the HR team, creating a proactive, business-partnering approach.
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, employee relations, recruitment and workforce planning.
- Ensure employment law compliance while maintaining a pragmatic, commercially focused approach.
- Champion values, wellbeing, inclusion and flexible ways of working.
You'll bring:
- Significant senior HR leadership experience.
- A strong background in organisational development, culture and change.
- Experience partnering with Executive Leadership Teams and senior stakeholders.
- A track record of developing HR functions into trusted strategic partners.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
- Excellent coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
- Hybrid working (approximately 8 office days per month)
