Salary: £67,500
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours, flexible working)

The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping organisational culture, modernising people services and ensuring the workforce is equipped to deliver excellent outcomes for residents and communities.
The Role
The Head of People Services will provide both strategic and operational leadership across the full employee lifecycle, leading a team covering People Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition and Organisational Development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and delivery of the People Strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to senior leaders and the executive team on workforce planning, organisational capability, culture and performance.
- Driving organisational development, employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.
- Overseeing recruitment, talent management, learning and development, reward and benefits, employee relations and policy development.
- Leading workforce planning to build organisational capability and resilience.
- Developing and managing the People Services budget and monitoring the effectiveness of external service providers.
- Championing the use of people systems, data, automation and self-service solutions to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, governance requirements and housing sector regulations.
- Producing people insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making and board-level assurance.
- Leading on culture, engagement and wellbeing initiatives that support a positive and inclusive working environment.
About You
- Significant experience leading a People / HR function within a complex organisation.
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent combination of work experience and education
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations and HR best practice.
- Experience advising executive teams and senior stakeholders on strategic people matters.
- A successful track record of leading organisational change, culture development and workforce planning initiatives.
- Experience managing HR budgets, contracts and external providers.
- A passion for employee engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and creating a positive organisational culture.
