Academics are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded independent school who are looking to appoint an inspiring and experienced Head of Prep School to lead their Prep School community.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious school leader who is passionate about providing an outstanding education and creating a positive, nurturing environment where children can thrive.

The Role

As Head of Prep School, you will provide strong and inspirational leadership across the Prep School, working closely with staff, pupils, parents and the wider school leadership team.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, supporting staff development and ensuring pupils receive a broad, engaging and high-quality education.

The successful candidate will be a visible and approachable leader who can build strong relationships across the school community while also driving forward the school's vision and continued development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership across the Prep School.
• Lead and inspire teaching and support staff, promoting high standards and professional development.
• Ensure excellent standards of teaching, learning and pupil progress.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and nurturing school environment.
• Work closely with parents and the wider school community.
• Support the development and implementation of the school's vision and priorities.
• Monitor standards, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and wider school.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic school leader who can demonstrate:

• Proven leadership experience within a primary or Prep School setting.
• Strong knowledge of teaching, learning and the curriculum.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• The ability to inspire, motivate and develop staff.
• Strong organisation and strategic leadership skills.
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
