Head of Procurement - Local Authority

My Local Authority client in Greater London is looking to appoint a talented Head of Procurement on a Contract basis.
The role will provide strategic leadership for the corporate procurement function, while leading on transformation objectives.
About the role:
Based in London (Hybrid):
- Lead a service of up to 22 procurement and commercial professionals, directly managing senior leaders within the function.
- Lead and deliver the Council's procurement transformation programme, championing innovation, efficiency and best value.
- Develop and implement the Council's procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and best practice.
- Take overall responsibility for procurement governance, contract management frameworks and procurement policies.
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
- Significant experience leading a procurement function, in a Local Authority context.
- Demonstrable record of delivering procurement transformation, commercial savings and service improvements.
- Strong experience managing budgets, teams and performance in a leadership capacity.
- Deep expertise in procurement, sourcing, contract management and commercial strategy.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £700-£750+ per day, inside IR35
- Hybrid Working
- Contract type: Contract
- Hours: 09:00 -17:00 Monday to Friday
