The role
You’ll lead procurement and supply chain, reporting into the operations leadership. You’ll manage a small team of buyers and a planner, own relationships with key manufacturing partners and suppliers, and build a procurement strategy that keeps supply reliable while holding inventory down.
What you’ll do
- Lead, coach and develop the procurement and planning team
- Set and run a rolling procurement and supply chain strategy
- Manage outsourced manufacturing partners and key suppliers end to end, including agreements and performance
- Improve demand planning so inventory is lean and availability holds
- Standardise and streamline procurement processes across the business
- Work closely with engineering, technical and commercial colleagues on sourcing decisions
- Keep procurement compliant with regulatory, security and ISO requirements
What you’ll bring
- A track record of leading procurement or purchasing teams in high-tech or engineering manufacturing
- Experience managing outsourced manufacturing or a complex technical supply chain
- Strong leadership and stakeholder skills, and the energy to improve things in a fast-moving environment
- MCIPS and MRP/ERP experience are a plus
