This is a key leadership position, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget, while maintaining strong communication across internal teams, stakeholders and third-party partners.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent organisational and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced and technically focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in line with wider business goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules and resource allocations.
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage day-to-day project activities, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, timelines and key deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, project teams and senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor project teams, providing direction and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify successes, lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Ensure projects comply with company policies, procedures and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline existing processes and ways of working.
- Provide strong leadership across multiple programmes, ensuring priorities remain aligned with business objectives.
- Proven experience in project or programme management, ideally within a technical or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from conception through to completion.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to resolving complex issues.
- Experience identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks.
- Strong financial and budgeting knowledge.
- Competent with project management tools and software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira or Trello.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively within a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years' proven experience in project/programme management or a related role.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certification would be advantageous.
