Head of Property and Estates in Regent's Park, Greater London

Head of Property / Estates and Facilities | Central London | Up to £75,000 + Benefits | Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-known and highly respected charity supporting the Armed Forces community, for a Head of Property and Facilities to take full ownership of a varied and meaningful property portfolio.

The role

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across property management, facilities and maintenance for a portfolio spanning residential properties, commercial buildings and historic monuments across the UK. Reporting to the Director of Resources, you will present regularly to trustees and directors at board level, lead an in-house property team, and oversee a network of external chartered surveyors, contractors and suppliers. A central part of the role is maximising the value of the portfolio, including developing disposal strategies and maintaining assets to a high standard.

What we are looking for

- Minimum five years' property management experience within a housing or property portfolio
- Detailed knowledge of building management legislation and statutory requirements
- Experience of property valuation, contract negotiation and portfolio reporting
- Demonstrable experience of working alongside or instructing chartered surveyors
- Proven ability to present confidently at board or trustee level
- Strong people management skills with a track record of leading and developing teams
- Experience developing and implementing strategies to maximise property value at disposal
