Following significant growth and industry recognition, they are now looking for an experienced scientific leader to shape strategy, guide a high-performing team, and help deliver credible, scalable solutions that contribute directly to tackling climate change. You'll join the senior leadership team and take ownership of the scientific direction of the business, ensuring robust science underpins both operational delivery and future growth.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of senior scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Define and deliver the scientific roadmap in line with business objectives and product strategy.
• Drive the evolution of carbon removal quantification methods and scientific best practice.
• Translate complex scientific research into practical protocols that support large-scale project delivery.
• Partner with internal teams, external stakeholders and project developers to ensure successful implementation of scientific programmes.
• Represent the science function at a senior level, influencing business decisions and industry standards.
• Manage departmental budgets, scientific investment and technical input for funding, investor and due diligence activities.

Requirements

• Advanced expertise in a relevant scientific discipline such as geochemistry, soil science, geology, hydrology, plant science, soil science, ERW or CDR or similar preferred.
• Proven people leadership experience, with a track record of delivering commercial objectives while maintaining scientific excellence.
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence stakeholders and translate complex science into clear business outcomes.
• Full right to work in the UK there is no sponsorship available for this role
