Salary: £54,912 – £72,072 per annum

About the Role
As Head of Student Events and Engagement, you will lead the development of student engagement and events activity across a group of BIMM University campuses, while also overseeing provision at our London campus.
Working closely with colleagues across the University, you will shape opportunities for students to connect with their community, shape their university experience and participate in campus life. The role combines strategic leadership with operational responsibility, providing direction to Student Events and Engagement teams, driving service improvement and contributing to projects that support institutional priorities and enhance the student experience.
What You'll Do:
- Provide leadership and support to Student Events and Engagement Managers and Officers across your campuses.
- Lead the planning and oversight of events, activities and initiatives that foster participation, community and a sense of belonging.
- Shape and implement plans that support student voice, representation and partnership working.
- Work collaboratively with academic departments, professional services, Creative Futures, the Student Association and external partners to enhance the student experience.
- Lead the delivery of Student Events and Engagement activity at the London campus.
- Drive service improvement through the effective use of student feedback, insight and performance data.
- Lead cross-University projects and programmes relating to engagement, community and student success.
- Oversee budgets, resources and operational planning to ensure services are delivered effectively and sustainably.
- Support consistency across campuses while ensuring activity remains responsive to local needs.
What You'll Bring:
- Significant experience in student engagement, student experience, events management, community development or a related area.
- Experience of leading, developing and managing teams, including line management responsibility.
- A track record of planning and delivering large-scale events, programmes or engagement initiatives.
- Experience of leading projects, strategic initiatives or service improvement activity.
- Strong understanding of student engagement, student voice, partnership working and community development.
- Experience of managing budgets, resources and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational demands.
- The ability to analyse information, make informed decisions and use insight to drive improvement.
