The School and the Role
This specialist SEMH and SEND school in Salford supports young people with social, emotional and mental health needs through a therapeutic and relationship-based approach, helping pupils develop the confidence, resilience and skills they need to achieve positive outcomes in education and beyond.
As Headteacher, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the provision, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing. Working closely with the Director of Education and a multidisciplinary team, you will champion an ambitious vision for inclusive education while embedding a culture of high expectations, strong relationships and continuous improvement.
You will lead and develop an established staff team, driving excellence through a well-sequenced curriculum, evidence-informed practice and a commitment to meeting the individual needs of every learner. Through effective leadership, you will ensure the school continues to provide a safe, nurturing and aspirational environment where pupils can overcome barriers and thrive.

Requirements
To be considered for this Headteacher role, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have substantial leadership experience within education
- Have experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH needs, alternative provision or additional learning barriers
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of specialist education, safeguarding and behaviour support strategies
- Have a proven track record of leading school improvement and driving positive outcomes for pupils
- Be confident using data and evidence-informed practice to monitor performance and support continuous improvement
- Build positive and effective relationships with pupils, families, staff, governors and external agencies
- Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Have a strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and independent school standards
- Show a commitment to inclusive, pupil-centred education and high aspirations for every learner
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to support pupil transport and enrichment activities where required
