Health and Safety Advisor

AIM Fresh Resourcing Partners Ltd

We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading business operating within the fresh produce sector.

Based primarily at a new packhouse in Bridge, Canterbury, this is a multi-site role supporting managers and operational teams to maintain a safe, compliant and proactive working environment. You will work closely with the H&S Manager while taking ownership of key risk assessment, compliance and safety improvement activities.

Health & Safety Advisor Key Responsibilities

  • Advise managers and supervisors on day-to-day health and safety matters.
  • Lead and review risk assessments and support the development of safe systems of work.
  • Help embed the Safety Management System across operational teams.
  • Lead H&S meetings and regularly carry out site safety walks.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Assist with incident investigations and follow-up actions.
  • Deliver health and safety initiatives, toolbox talks and training support.
  • Manage contractor H&S requirements including RAMS, permits and site monitoring.
  • Maintain statutory compliance records and monitor required inspections and testing.
  • Analyse safety performance data and prepare reports.

Health & Safety Advisor Key Skills and Experience

  • NEBOSH General Certificate, essential.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within Health & Safety.
  • Experience within food production or manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Confident communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car, essential, due to travel between sites.
  • Flexible approach to supporting operational requirements.
