Benjamin Grace are recruiting on behalf of a leading rail infrastructure organisation for a Health & Safety Advisor to support a programme across Kent, Sussex and London. This Health & Safety Advisor role offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-established delivery team working within a fast-paced operational rail environment.
The Health & Safety Advisor will play a key role in supporting the programme, helping to drive safe delivery across a repetitive, high-volume programme of works. This position is suited to someone confident on site who is ready to take the next step in their Health & Safety career but is not yet at management level.
Health & Safety Advisor – Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day health & safety advisory support

Carry out site inspections, audits and safety assessments

Support incident and accident investigations, focusing on learning and improvement

Challenge unsafe behaviours and legacy working practices constructively
-
Promote and embed compliant Safe Systems of Work (019 standards)

Work closely with operational teams to improve safety compliance across projects

Support cultural change and improve safety behaviours within delivery teams
Health & Safety Advisor – Requirements
-
NEBOSH General Certificate
-
Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role

Experience carrying out site inspections and incident investigations
-
Confident, resilient and able to challenge unsafe practices constructively
-
Strong communication and influencing skills
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
