Health and Safety Advisor

Thomas Gray Ltd

Thomas Gray is currently supporting a well-established and highly respected organisation, recognised for its commitment to delivering safe, high-quality homes and investing in the wellbeing of both its customers and employees.

They are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract, joining a collaborative Health & Safety team during an exciting period of continued development and improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional looking to broaden their experience within a diverse organisation where safety is genuinely embedded into the culture. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of health and safety systems across the business, helping to ensure statutory compliance whilst promoting best practice across a varied operational environment.

You'll be involved in a broad range of responsibilities including supporting the development of health and safety policies and procedures, coordinating accident and incident investigations, assisting with audits and inspections, overseeing health surveillance programmes, lone working arrangements and PPE processes, as well as contributing towards risk assessments and safe systems of work. The role also offers the opportunity to work closely with managers across the organisation, providing practical advice and guidance while helping to drive a positive and proactive safety culture.

We're looking for an organised and motivated Health & Safety professional with experience working within an operational health and safety environment. You will have a solid understanding of current health and safety legislation, experience supporting audits, investigations and risk assessments, and the confidence to build effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders. A NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is essential, alongside a genuine desire to continue developing your professional career within Health & Safety.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation where health and safety is viewed as a key business priority. You'll benefit from working alongside an experienced and supportive team, gain exposure to a varied and interesting workload and can make a meaningful impact while continuing your own professional development throughout the duration of the contract.
