Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Health and Social Care lessons across a range of qualifications and levels.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports learners of all abilities.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to promote achievement and progression.
  • Monitor learner attendance, progress, and performance, implementing interventions where required.
  • Prepare learners for further education, apprenticeships, and careers within the health and social care sector.
  • Develop high-quality teaching resources and learning materials.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and support services to enhance the learner experience.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, equality, and diversity policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A degree or recognised qualification in Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, or a related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards one.
  • Current or previous industry experience within the health and social care sector.
  • Experience teaching BTEC, NCFE, CACHE, or similar vocational qualifications is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for supporting learners and helping them achieve their goals.
  • Strong knowledge of current health and social care practices and legislation.
