About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Health & Social Care and Child Development Teacher to join a supportive department from September 2026.

You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Health & Social Care and Child Development, helping students develop both subject knowledge and practical understanding of health, early years, childcare, and social care settings. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing learners for further study and future careers within the care, education, and health sectors.

This is a long-term position from September 2026, with the potential to become a permanent appointment for the right individual.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has experience teaching Health & Social Care and/or Child Development at secondary level
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Inspires students through engaging, inclusive, and well-planned lessons
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting young people and raising achievement
  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to wider school life
