What You'll Be Doing
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll provide high-quality care and support to people living in their own homes and within the community.
We are looking for both Day and Night staff across cornwall.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing compassionate personal care while promoting dignity, choice and independence
- Supporting individuals with daily living activities and encouraging independence
- Assisting with medication administration (where trained and competent)
- Supporting individuals with mobility, transfers and rehabilitation programmes
- Delivering delegated clinical interventions (where trained), including PEG feeding, catheter care, stoma care, tracheostomy care and ventilation support
- Providing emotional support and meaningful companionship
- Preparing meals and supporting nutrition and hydration
- Accompanying individuals to appointments, education, work or community activities
- Supporting positive behaviour and person-centred care plans
- Accurately recording care delivered using digital care systems
- Working closely with families, Case Managers, Community Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Recognising changes in an individual's condition and escalating concerns appropriately.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for caring, reliable and professional Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about making a genuine difference in people's livesand being apart of something special from the start.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working in health and social care (community, residential, nursing or complex care)
- A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- A flexible approach to working a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to community-based work)
- The right to work in the UK
