  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, compliant and filed correctly.
  • Monitor and track health and safety certifications, training records and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation of site files, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), induction packs and audit documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes and distribute actions where required.
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and internal departments to obtain outstanding documentation.
  • Produce reports, spreadsheets and project trackers using Microsoft Office.
  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while meeting project deadlines.
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider project and health & safety teams.

Requirements

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within the construction or engineering sector.
  • A basic understanding of health and safety legislation and procedures within construction.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a wider project team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A positive, proactive approach with a willingness to learn.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of document control systems.
  • Experience maintaining compliance records or health & safety documentation.
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations and construction health & safety requirements.
  • Health & Safety qualifications such as IOSH Working Safely or similar would be advantageous, although not essential.

What's on Offer

  • 14-month fixed-term contract with a leading construction organisation.
  • Hybrid working arrangement, combining home working with office-based collaboration in Birmingham.
  • Opportunity to work on a fast-paced, high-profile project.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Competitive rate/salary depending on experience.

If you're a highly organised administrator with a good understanding of construction health and safety and are looking to join an exciting project where your attention to detail and organisational skills will make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
