Are you a proactive Health & Safety professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? Our client is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a safe, compliant and positive environment for staff, students, visitors and contractors across multiple college campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety policies, procedures and management systems.
- Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews, reporting findings and recommending improvements.
- Undertake and review risk assessments, ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with contractor management, permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work.
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives, including environmental management activities.
- Contribute to fire safety arrangements, internal audits and compliance monitoring programmes.
About You
We are looking for an organised and resilient professional with a passion for promoting safe working environments.
Essential Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Level 4 Health & Safety qualification.
- Previous experience working in a Health & Safety role.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Welsh Language Skills at Level 2 or willingness to develop these skills
