Our client is seeking a Health, Safety and Facilities Co-ordinator to join their team based in Thame. This role involves supporting health and safety compliance and facilities management across multiple sites in the UK. It will suit someone organised and attentive to detail who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively to maintain safe and efficient working environments.

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, based primarily at the main depot with occasional travel to other locations. The salary is £35,000 per annum and foundational health and safety training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing and maintaining health and safety policy compliance
  • Perform regular site safety inspections and document hazards or non-compliance
  • Manage hazard reports and facility maintenance tasks, ensuring timely resolution
  • Provide health and safety inductions and refresher training for employees, temporary staff, and contractors
  • Conduct scheduled facility inspections and record maintenance needs
  • Support routine facilities operations to keep sites and assets safe, functional, compliant, and well-maintained
  • Assign maintenance tasks to appropriate departments
  • Apply contractor management procedures, including inductions, risk assessment reviews, and ensuring safe working practices
  • Manage sign-in processes and verify contractor activities against approved safety documentation
  • Administer internal site management software, including document control, asset tracking, and site data management
  • Update policies, procedures, and safety arrangements in collaboration with the health and safety lead
  • Participate in scheduled health and safety and facilities meetings
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote safe working environments and efficient operations
  • Travel to other sites for inspections as required
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by health and safety leadership or senior management
