The OpportunityA well-established engineering and manufacturing business is looking to recruit a proactive Health & Safety & Compliance Administrator to support its Quality, Health & Safety and Compliance functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment who enjoys organisation, compliance and continuous improvement. You'll play a key role in ensuring health & safety systems, quality processes and compliance activities run smoothly across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate planned maintenance schedules, statutory inspections and servicing activities.
- Maintain health & safety, quality and compliance records.
- Assist with creating and reviewing Risk Assessments, RAMS and COSHH assessments.
- Arrange contractor visits and maintain contractor documentation, permits and insurance records.
- Coordinate calibration schedules, asset registers and compliance documentation.
- Support internal audits, workplace inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with incident investigations and follow up corrective actions.
- Produce reports, spreadsheets and management documentation.
- Coordinate health & safety training records and toolbox talks.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience within a Health & Safety, Compliance, Quality or QHSE administration role.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification (desirable).
- Experience with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of Risk Assessments, COSHH and RAMS.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and SharePoint.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to communicate confidently across all levels of the business.
