Location: Abingdon

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: Full Time | Monday to Friday | Permanent

The Opportunity

A well-established engineering and manufacturing business is looking to recruit a proactive Health & Safety & Compliance Administrator to support its Quality, Health & Safety and Compliance functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment who enjoys organisation, compliance and continuous improvement. You'll play a key role in ensuring health & safety systems, quality processes and compliance activities run smoothly across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate planned maintenance schedules, statutory inspections and servicing activities.
  • Maintain health & safety, quality and compliance records.
  • Assist with creating and reviewing Risk Assessments, RAMS and COSHH assessments.
  • Arrange contractor visits and maintain contractor documentation, permits and insurance records.
  • Coordinate calibration schedules, asset registers and compliance documentation.
  • Support internal audits, workplace inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with incident investigations and follow up corrective actions.
  • Produce reports, spreadsheets and management documentation.
  • Coordinate health & safety training records and toolbox talks.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales.
About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience within a Health & Safety, Compliance, Quality or QHSE administration role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification (desirable).
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessments, COSHH and RAMS.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and SharePoint.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to communicate confidently across all levels of the business.
